The pages of this book are a mess - I’ve turned over corners of pages, dug my nail under certain sentences so they catch my eye when I re-read it, read it in the bath so the pages have gotten damp so it looks all tatty and it’s been thrown in my bag on many occasions still open so I could get it out on the tube easily when I didn’t have time to find a bookmark! I’m not sure why but this book makes me feel better about life which is strange as most girls I’ve let borrow this have claimed it’s offensive but I disagree. Bukowski is a perfect writer and I’ll never enjoy any other authors work as much as I enjoy his.
